Dreamworld update – 8th May 2023
As the holidays end, the cold snap appears, and it’s time for another look at the projects being undertaken at Dreamworld.
Dreamworld Flyer
Work has yet to physically commence on the Dreamworld Flyer project. The new attraction will see a re-imagining of the central fountain of the park, and includes a new ride, a wave swinger attraction.

In 12 months, this view will be dramatically different, but should provide some much needed kinetic energy to the area.
Giant Drop
The new lights on the tower spelling out D R E A M W O R L D are now all installed facing the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Attention is now starting to turn to the other aspects of the ride.

The ride camera for the western side of the ride has returned.

Themed signage looks to have arrived.

A refurbished access walkway has returned as well awaiting installation.
Dreamland

Fencing has appeared advertising the build of Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland on Main Street near the train line.

Escape Coaster is no more, as the park now turns its attention to breathing some new life into this roller coaster.

We are excited to see what the park has in store for Kenny’s Forest Flyer.

The Big Red Plane ride has arrived on site, and is being installed. The ride will take guests to new heights soon.. The ride replaces Dronkeys Flyers.

Ocean Parade Fun
A few weeks ago, containers appeared on Ocean Parade on the site of the former Wipeout store.

The new containers have been revealed, and Ocean Parade now has some new carnival games to play.

One final outlet has appeared on Main Street wedged between Kenny’s Chick N Wings, and the main entry to Dreamland.

There is still quite a bit of work happening around the park as they ramp up work on Dreamland, Ocean Parade and commence tiding up the loose ends of the massive Giant Drop upgrades.
Autism Awareness Day 2023
Finally, on April 30th, Dreamworld held a special morning for families who have special needs. The park opened its gates 1 hour early for some exclusive ride time and some special meet and greets. You can see our video from the morning here: https://youtu.be/QlkNAvFlM7E
Theme parks can be very overwhelming places for some, and those who are neurodivergent may avoid theme parks altogether due to this. As such for many guests, this was their first time experiencing a theme park. From all accounts, everyone had a great time. We would like to thank Dreamworld for making the effort to bring the theme park experience to new audiences, allowing those guests to create some of the best Golden Years of their life.
