In anticipation of a strong Easter, Dreamworld will extend trading
hours and offer a $5 Return Pass to cater for the expected increase
in visitors to the Gold Coast and offering them an enhanced value
for money experience.
General Manager of Dreamworld, Mr Len Shaw said, "Hotel and resort
operations report that bookings are strong for Easter, with overall
visitor numbers expected to be up on 1998."
"The forecast increase in visitors to the Gold Coast has been
confirmed by both major airlines, with Easter Thursday expected to be
the busiest day of the year" Mr Shaw said.
"Dreamworld has so much to offer, including the Giant Drop, the tiger
cubs and IMAX movies, that guests really need two days to enjoy the
entire Dreamworld experience. This is why we have extended hours and
offered guests the opportunity to return a second day for five
dollars," Mr Shaw said.
The park will open at 9.00am and close at 5.30pm, (rides start from
9.30am). This gives guests the chance to pack an extra hour of fun in
each day.
